Bruise-eze

Regular price $19.99 $0.00

WHAT IS BRUISE-EZE®?

Simply put, it is a topical cream that helps speed up the natural healing process of bruises.

But bruising is not its only area of use!

It has a unique mode of action to other products on the market

It can provide an effective treatment option for certain medical conditions that otherwise have poor treatment outcomes1.

HOW DOES BRUISE-EZE® WORK?

Fresh bruises appear blue to purplish in colour due to iron released from the breakdown of haemaglobin. Bruise-eze® contains the protein lactoferrin embedded in a liposome (patented Lipid Technology). Lactoferrin has a strong affinity for iron and so binds to (chelates) the released iron which is then broken down by our immune system.

WHY IS LACTOFERRIN EMBEDDED IN A LIPOSOME?

Liposomes are structures that closely resemble cell membranes. They allow:

  • Better penetration into the skin
  • Provide stability and protect the lactoferrin from degradation
  • Allow lactoferrin to be released in the right place

MORE ABOUT LACTOFERRIN

Lactoferrin is a natural protein which can be found in our innate immune system and as mentioned, is an iron chelator (binds to iron). This mode of action provides many beneficial properties which help to accelerate the healing process including:

  • Iron binding – protects from the harmful effects of iron
  • Anti-inflammatory – reduces swelling
  • Re-Healing – promotes new cell formation
  • Bacteriostatic – starves the bacteria of the iron it needs to replicate
  • Antibiofilm – breaks down and stops the formation of mucilage that houses bacteria and other microorganisms
  • Antioxidant – stops the formation of destructive free radicals and also binds to them
